Goddamn that boy loves himself! He is pretty cool but he don’t rule and he ain’t the king and, truth be told, he’s not that hot at footie either but then none of us is compared with Gabriel, The Boy With The Magic Feet. He won’t show off either. Probably he’s gonna leave us all soon and go play for Barçelona (no joke!) which is why he’s the kid in our year “most likely to have a great future” and the rest of us’ll end up doing whatever our dads do.

'Cept me. Cos I’m never gonna touch drugs. So that makes it impossible to follow in my dad’s fatal footsteps but the rest of the guys 'aven’t got bad dads to follow after. Sad maybe but not bad. That’s the impression you get anyway of those dads that are around. (Sorry Diego). ~This is Rey again by the way. ReplyDeleteI’m pretty OK at most things, when I try, sometimes even when I don’t. Sometimes I’m bad. I just can’t help myself sometimes. But I don’t make any excuses I’m just a kid and I do what I do cos I wanna do it mostly.
If you read that and really pay atenshun you realise he’s the proper cool one. Or maybe you have to know him to know it but belive me he is. He calls me Six Pack, cos I have one. I guess its cos I’m good at sports, or maybe I’m good at sports cos of the six pack? I’m what’s called a “good all rounder”. I get to be on all the teams and even though I work hard at it I know I’m lucky cos I love it and at the same time it gets you lots of respect and it’s not realy fair cos I wos just born able to do it and people like Daniel have to work realy hard to be nearly as good as me. But like Daniel says, it’s the other way round when it comes to reading and writing work – it comes easy to him (but he works hard to) and I have to work realy realy hard to be half as good as him and I do try realy I do. Not like JD & JP. Look how much I’ve just written. Shame it wasn’t in my own book. Miss might be impresed. BTW it’s me that might be going to Barçelona. Scary really, I mean its an awesome oportunity and I’ll do it but it’ll be hard top leave everyone and wot if I’m not so good when Im playing with all those other people that are the best players their friends know? At least I no my amigos will always be.

ReplyDeleteIt’s true wot Gab says tho it is weird, and a bit embarrassing that some of us get so much attention cos were good at something and really only half of it is hard work the rest is just luck, being born with the talent like me with the dancing.
